MEMBERSHIP ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (MAP)
The Membership Assistance Program (MAP) is funded through the Sport Section of the Sask Lotteries Trust Fund and through the proceeds of lottery ticket sales in Saskatchewan.
MAP provides financial support to Swim Saskatchewan affiliated clubs to help grow participation and strengthen sport development in Saskatchewan communities.

Eligibility
Affiliated clubs in good standing are eligible to receive MAP and must have a minimum of 5 swimmers fully registered prior to application deadline.
Clubs must acknowledge and publicly recognize Saskatchewan Lotteries and the proceeds from lottery ticket sales in Saskatchewan as a source for support for their club/programs.
The Swim Sask MAP Policy outlines the policies and procedures for administering MAP funds to clubs, and can be found in the Board of Directors Policies, “A5 Membership Assistance Program”.
Eligible Expenses
Facility rental costs (ie. pool rental fees)
Coach expenses and education/professional development
Dryland training equipment
Team/meet management software (ie. Hyek software, computers)
Swimming resource materials and video equipment
Officials expenses and development (ie. hosting officials clinics)
Purchasing swimming equipment that facilities may not provide (such as backstroke flags, kickboards, pull bouys, or starting blocks)
Club marketing and promotions
MAP Funding CANNOT be used for: facility construction or operation costs, capital costs or expenditures (ie. permanent equipment), registration fees, expenses covered by other grants, head coach wages for high-performance athletes, excellence level sport development, out-of-province travel, provincial/university team expenses, cash prizes, social events, alcohol, research projects, or any other expenses deemed ineligible by Swim Sask or the Saskatchewan Lotteries Trust Fund.
MAP Application and Spending Plan
Application forms due:
October 31 for Age Group and Masters Clubs
June 30 for Summer Clubs
Late applications will not be accepted. The Executive Director approves projects per Sask Sport Guidelines. Clubs will be notified of the approved amount and projects must be completed by March 15 for Age Group and Masters Clubs and by August 31 for Summer Clubs. Funds will only be provided for expenses or projects approved in the submitted MAP application; using the funding for other purposes will prevent the club from receiving payment.
MAP Follow Up Report
To receive funding, clubs must submit the MAP Grant Follow-Up Report with receipts to verify/confirm expenses. All receipts should be combined into a single PDF.
March 15 for Age Group and Masters Clubs
September 30 for Summer Clubs
Follow-up Report and receipts must be submitted prior to deadline to receive payment.
