Bronze for Benkic and 1st Nat Cut for Ennis and 2nd Nat cut for Gay - February 21, 2010

On Saturday night the battle on the prairies continues at the Shaw Centre in Saskatoon. There is lots of talk about this fabulous new pool with many swimmers swimming near or achieving best times without wearing the technical suits.

Goldfin swimmer Cole Benkic makes it to the podium, winning the Bronze medal in the Male Youth 200 Fly with a new personal best of 2:08.03.

Later Rebecca Gay, also of the Goldfins, achieves her 2nd Senior National time in the women’s 400 free, winning the B Final, with a personal best by 6 and a half seconds with a new time of 4:22.93

In the morning prelims, Robert Ennis, RODS, achieved his first senior National time in the male 200 Fly with a time of 2:06.27.

Manta Swim Club from Winnipeg is leading in the Female points with Cascade Swim Club from Calgary way out in front with male points and leading overall.

Competition concludes Sunday evening.
