South wins 2009 Summer Swimming Provincials

The South team won the 2009 Summer Swimming Provincial Finals held in Nipawin on Saturday August 8 and Sunday August 9. The South Coach, Tannis Broda proudly accepted the trophy

Swift Current ACT Swim Club won the Harry Bailey Trophy for the club earning the most points at the meet, while the Regina Piranhas won the Betty Lou Dean Trophy for the small club earning the most points.

It was a perfect weekend for the meet as the weather was very cooperative. 150 swimmers were in attendance at the meet.

The Nipawin Lions did a fantastic job of hosting the meet. Everyone had fun at the dinner and awards banquet; especially the Oxbow Seawolves who were decked out in Canada hats.

Swim Saskatchewan congratulates all of the swimmers and thanks the Nipawin Lions for hosting a successful 2009 Summer Swimming Provincial Finals. Thank you to Meet Manager Sandi Timm and the rest of the meet organizing committee. Your hard work is greatly appreciated
