Two 33 year old records fall!
This past weekend, the 2013 Speedo Western Canadian Championships was held in Saskatoon at the Shaw Centre hosted by the Saskatoon Goldfins.
There were 511 swimmers from 64 different clubs in attendance, which included 28 swimmers 13 female and 15 male) from Saskatchewan.
Maya Lehnert-thiel and Shelby Stene, both from the Goldfins, each broke provincial records. Maya broke the 50 and 200 Breast and Shelby broke the 800 Free record all in the 13 & 14 Girls age category. The 200 Breast and 800 Free records had been set back in 1980; and were both held by Bronwyn Beatty.
